Sound attenuators for ventilation systems

Smitsair B.V. sound attenuators are specially designed to dampen noise in ventilation systems. Whether for applications in air ducting systems, mechanical ventilation systems, behind outdoor air vents, or separate sound attenuation couplers; our silencers offer reliable and efficient solutions for any situation.

Types of Sound attenuators

We offer a wide range of silencers, each designed for specific applications within ventilation systems. Take a look at the overview below.

Splitter sound attenuator

GD-100 and GD-200: these silencers are ideal for mounting in air duct systems. They can be fitted with or without resonance panels.

K-100 and K-200: sound-absorbing coulisse without resonance panels, suitable for various applications in ventilation systems. These coulisse can be easily integrated into both new and existing systems.

Round sound attenuator

GR and GRK: these circular silencers are specially designed for easy integration into circular ducting systems. Both types offer high sound attenuation and are available in various duct sizes. The GRK has an inner core, flow caps and push-in connection nozzles. Type GRK has more attenuation capacity than type GR.

Sound attenuator grille

GDBV-140/45: a combination of a rain-repellent grille and a sound attenuator, ideal for installation in facades of, among others, machine rooms, air treatment plants, and rooftop plants.

Applications silencers

Smitsair silencers are used in various ventilation systems to effectively reduce noise pollution. They are essential in environments where noise reduction is critical, such as in the following applications.

Air channels

Silencers are often installed in air channels. To dampen the noise produced. This is crucial in buildings where comfort and noise levels are important, such as offices, hospitals, and residential complexes.

Sound-absorbing ventilation grilles

Our grille type GDBV is a sound-absorbing grille. This grating can be used in facades of engine rooms, air treatment plants and rooftop plants.

Roof cowls

Sound attenuating coulours can be installed in roof cowls penetrations to attenuate noise escaping through roof ventilation. This is particularly useful in residential and commercial buildings where noise transmission to the outside needs to be limited.
